ASHLEY: The Ashley Neighborly Senior Citizens will not conduct meetings in June. The trip is also cancelled.
The next meeting will be held on July 23. Hostesses will be Lee Kozicki and Hedy Shantz. Joan Shewan will preside.
EDWARDSVILLE: The Edwardsville Senior Center is located at 57 Russell St., behind the Edwardsville Municipal Building on Main Street. The center is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and welcomes all area men and women older than 60, regardless of income.
A nutritious lunch is served daily at noon for a $1 donation. Lunch reservations should be made by 1 p.m. the day before. Fellowship, community news, health information, bingo, puzzles, indoor bowling and exercise are offered on a regular basis.
The annual fee for new and renewed memberships is $4. Call 287-3381 for additional information or to reserve lunch.
The following activities are scheduled:
• Today, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Farmers Market vouchers will be distributed. Must be older than 60 years of age and reside in Luzerne or Wyoming counties. A valid identification is required. Proxy forms are available at the center. Call to register and for more information.
Bag lunch can be picked up at 11:30 a.m.
• Thursday and June 26, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. AARP Safe Driver’s Course. Seating limited.
• Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. NAACP Diversity Institute Picnic at Kirby Park. Free admission for food, games and prizes.
• Tuesday, 12:15 p.m., an Alzheimer’s information program by the Alzheimer’s Association.
• June 25, June birthday recognition.
EXETER: The Cosmopolitan Seniors’ honorary members, Margaret Kamor and Irene Ninassi, will celebrate their 98th and 100th birthdays respectively.
Dolores Bubblo and Rose Gunsior shared the bingo jackpot from the last meeting. Door prize recipients were Rose Ambrosino, Terri Mislan, Evelyn Naples, Joanne Naples and Irene Parini.EXETER: The Exeter Classic Seniors have planned a trip at noon on June 27 to Mount Airy Casino.
